  • Ashley Korn

    Head Coach

    Ashley has been coaching UMSST since beginning her career as an academic counselor for the University of Michigan Athletics Department in 2013. Ashley became the head coach of UMSST in 2023. In addition to her role as coach, she also serves as the Associate Director of the Academic Success Program for Michigan Athletics.

    Prior to coaching at Michigan, she spent time at Miami University assisting with the Varsity Synchronized Skating program and served as the head coach for the Open Collegiate team for three seasons while earning her Master’s degree.

    Ashley attended Miami University and earned her undergraduate degree in Journalism and Speech Communications. In addition, she skated and won four national titles with the program. She furthered her education, also at Miami, by earning her master's in Student Affairs and serving as a graduate assistant in the athletic department.

    Ashley is an advocate for collegiate skating as she currently serves as the Vice Chair for Collegiate Synchronized Skating. She also assists with the Hockettes Synchronized Skating Program.

  • Emily Dahuron

    Assistant Coach

    Emily is a University of Michigan alum and a former member of UMSST. During her 4 years at Michigan from 2013-2017 skating with the team, she and the team earned 4 national podium finishes, including becoming the Collegiate National Champions in 2017. Emily served on the UMSST board and was president of the team her senior year. She also skated with the U-M Figure Skating Team and competed in intercollegiate solo and team competitions in ice dance. Emily graduated with a BA in Fine Arts and a minor in Business.

    Originally from Baltimore, Maryland, she started skating when she was 6 and began in synchro at 8. She competed with the University of Delaware Synchronized Skating Team at the national level throughout high school while also testing and competing in freestyle, field moves (senior) and ice dance (international).

    She began her coaching career at the age of 16 teaching learn to skate, skating camps, power skating and introductory synchro teams with the Chesapeake FSC and Baltimore FSC. While at U of M, she joined the coaching staff of the Lapeer Skating Club and directed the Ann Arbor FSC’s annual Melody On Ice show twice. In 2017, she joined the Ann Arbor FSC’s professional staff, teaching Learn to Skate, field moves and ice dance and was a part of the Hockettes Synchronized Skating coaching staff.

    Now a Detroit resident and enthusiast, outside of skating, Emily is a professional photographer, a certified group fitness instructor and personal trainer and travel enthusiast. She’s very excited to be returning to UMSST on the other side of things this season!

  • Corinne Fereshetian

    Assistant Coach

    Corinne is a graduate student at the University of Michigan’s Ross School of Business pursuing a master’s degree in Management. In 2022, she graduated from the University of Minnesota with a degree in Sports Management. She began skating at the age of 4, competing on behalf of the Skating Club of Novi. Corinne skated in 6 international competitions representing Team USA at both the Junior and Senior levels with 3 podium finishes. She was a Hockette for 5 years, and skated for Adrian College’s Senior Team for one season.

    In 2020, Corinne moved to Minneapolis to attend the University of Minnesota. She was a member of the Division I Hockey Cheerleading team and began coaching at a local rink. She taught freestyle lessons, power skating classes, and Learn to Skate in Plymouth, Minnesota. After graduating, Corinne moved home to Northville, Michigan where she was a member of the coaching staff at the USA Hockey Arena in 2022.

    In addition to Michigan Ross and Michigan Synchro, Corinne currently works for the Detroit Tigers in the Authentics department and is a member of the Michigan Adult synchro team. She has recently assisted with choreography and synchro camps for the Hockettes and is extremely excited to be returning for another season of synchronized skating!
